The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) in coordination with the Montgomery County Department of Transportation, installed temporary protected bike lanes on MD 193/University Boulevard between Arcola Avenue and
Amherst Avenue. The protected lanes, which connect to the Sligo Creek Trail, will be in place through mid-November.

month long in this friendly competition with other Central Maryland employers. |

The Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
The Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (MBPAC) will hold its next meeting on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 9 am - 11 am. The meeting will be both virtual (via Microsoft Teams) and in person at MDOT Headquarters, (7201 Corporate Center Dr., Hanover, MD 21076) in the Richard Trainor Conference Room. In addition to regular MBPAC business, the meeting will feature a panel discussion on how rails-to-trails are developed in other states. Check the MBPAC website for the latest safety protocols. Anyone not feeling well should plan to attend virtually. |
