Bike Ped Grants Workshop & Application Deadlines
If you missed the MDOT grants workshop for pedestrian and bicycle projects, a recording is available on MDOT’s YouTube channel. The workshop focused on the Maryland Highway Safety Office (MHSO), Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), the Safe Routes to
School (SRTS), the Recreational Trails Program (RTP), and the MDOT Kim Lamphier Bikeways Network Program. The MHSO grants cycle has since closed, but the remaining grants will be accepting applications soon.
TAP, SRTS, and RTP applications will be accepted starting April 1, 2021, with RTP applications due April 30, 2021 and TAP/SRTS applications due May 17, 2021. Bikeways applications will be accepted from May 3, 2021 through June 3, 2021. For more information, visit the TAP, SRTS, RTP, or Bikeways websites.

Bikeways Letters of Intent
The MDOT Kim Lamphier Bikeways Network Program is accepting letters of intent (LOIs) through Friday, April 9th, 2021. The LOI process is intended to assist potential applicants by clarifying project and application needs, and to answer key questions prior to submitting an application.
Letters of intent are optional but should include a project description, physical limits of the project, total project estimate cost, anticipated funding request amount, and contact information.
