The Upper Chesapeake Rail Trail bridge over Tuckahoe Creek was recently completed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. The bridge project was funded in part by a FY2016 Bikeways grant. 

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is pleased to announce that the FY2021 MDOT Bikeways grant application portal will be open between Monday, May 4th and Friday, June 5th, 2020.   This year, $3.8 million is available in grant funding to support the development of Maryland’s bicycle transportation network.  The Bikeways Program provides funding for the planning, design and construction of projects that promote bicycle transportation.
