The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is updating its Chapter 30 project prioritization and local jurisdiction priority process and is seeking your input! The prioritization process is a key step in determining
what new surface transportation capacity expansion projects receive funding.
MDOT will be hosting two virtual sessions to share information about updates being considered to the prioritization process, and to get your input to help inform decisions and possible changes that may be made.
MDOT will host the same session on two separate dates via Microsoft Teams so you can select the date that works best for you! Please click the link of the session you would like to attend to register:
During the session, you will hear
from MDOT’s Chief of Planning, Programming, and Project Delivery, Geoff Anderson, who will provide an overview and engage in conversations regarding MDOT’s proposed updated approach to improve its existing prioritization process for capital programming. These sessions will highlight the Department’s considerations to develop an improved process to evaluate and prioritize candidate projects for funding, create accessible transparency and accountability tools, and enable continuous public feedback
and input to ensure the project prioritization objectives remain current and impactful to all Marylanders.
This will be an interactive session to gather your feedback and answer any questions. Please feel free to share with your colleagues.
