It will also add safety protections in and around the station that will directly meet the needs of
passengers with disabilities. Safe Streets for All - May 17, 2024 The City of Annapolis, City of New Carrollton, and Laurel was awarded a combined $1,274,254 under the Planning and Demonstration category. Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program - May 1, 2024 Howard County was awarded $326,870 to conduct stakeholder engagement and collect feedback on future state building energy performance standards and local stretch codes, resident barriers to electrification and public EV charging and workforce development needs. The county also will perform energy audits on
government buildings and promote an existing "Solar for All" program.
