The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is expanding our technical assistance and outreach efforts to support competitive federal funding efforts from around our state. If you have not had the opportunity, please visit our website to stay up to date with the latest federal grant opportunities and MDOT grant-support resources.
We are pleased to share this technical guidance webinar on the exciting $3.35 billion Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) Program that is accepting applications until September 28. The program aims to fund planning and construction efforts to restore community connectivity, improve access to daily needs such as jobs,
education and healthcare, and foster equitable development and access to opportunity in historically disadvantaged areas. Local units of governments are eligible to apply for funding directly.
In the pre-recorded webinar, MDOT staff break down the program requirements, eligible funding activities, and the merit criteria the United States Department of
Transportation (USDOT) will utilize to determine awards.
