The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), is one of the largest federal investments in infrastructure in nearly half a century. State and local governments will largely be responsible to prepare, design, and
implement these projects. The bill not only increased funding for existing programs but also created entirely new programs to meet today’s needs. Maryland is set to receive over $2.2 billion for transportation to invest in roads, bridges, public transit, ports and airports. This newsletter will highlight news, awarded projects, open federal and state
opportunities and resources available. New Federal Discretionary Grant opportunities will be added to future issues. Please let us know if you have a suggested transportation-related addition. |
